Susan and Augie Perazzini (June 17, 2000) "With its regal interior, stately splendor and childhood memories of Hot Browns — so delicious and oh, so Louisville! — we, along with over 400 of our family and friends, danced and celebrated into the wee hours in the Crystal Ballroom." — Susan Perazzini Maggie and Tom Kassebaum (October 4, 1997) "We had a Persian ceremony in the Bluegrass Room, followed by a reception in the Crystal Ballroom. It was such a lively reception that four wedding crashers came from another function they were atending." — Maggie Kassebaum Shane and Howard Shaps (September 2, 2001) "A friend indicated that my parents had met (or maybe re-met) at a party at the Brown. When they celebrated their 25th anniversary, we had dessert in the middle of the ballroom. Flash-forward about 16 or 17 years and it was time for my wedding." — Shane Shaps Michelle and Craig Coughlin (March 29, 2003) The two got engaged, married and spent their 10th anniversary at the Brown Hotel. "When our two daughters (now six and eight years old) grow up, I hope we will be able to host their weddings at the Brown as well." — Michelle Coughlin Ashley and Nathan Mitlesteadt (August 17, 2013) (David Blair Photography) Chris and Allison Zorn (January 5, 2007) "The Brown has always held a special place in our family, starting back when my grandfather, Wilson Wyat, was mayor of Louisville (1941-'45). He's even quoted in the history of the Brown saying: "Fourth Street and the Brown had such a tradition. People had a spiritual connection to the Brown. If you wanted the pizzazz of the new age, you could go somewhere else. But if you wanted elegance and wonderful service and beauty, you went to the Brown. A main occasion was always held at the Brown in those days, as well as the more important civic afairs." — Chris Zorn Spring | Summer BRIDE 31
