The cherished Louisville landmark turned 90 in 2013. Here's a
toast to all of the weddings that The Brown has hosted since 1923.
Ethel Bernheim and Melvin Haas
(December 15, 1927)
Ethel was the daughter of Bernard Bernheim, who was
part of a prominent philanthropic Louisville family.
Bernard and his brother, Isaac Wolfe, held their whiskey
distillery ofces on Whiskey Row. This photo was
clipped from a Brown Hotel newsleter feature with the
headline: "Brilliant Wedding."
