LOCAL WEDDINGS Hoffman-Fowler Jennifer Hoffman and Ryan Fowler September 21, 2013 You may recognize Jennifer from CBS's reality show The Amazing Race, a world-travel-with-hoops-to-jump-through team competition that she and her sister, LaKisha, won in 2011. Jennifer is also a former U of L volleyball player. She and Ryan met two years ago through friends. "He says he was intimidated by me at frst, but one night we got drinks at Drake's and that was it," Jennifer says. "He did everything right from the beginning." Jennifer wanted a stress-free celebration. She gives advice for the laidback bride: "Find a company that does everything if you are not a DIY bride. Fleur de Lis proved to be a one-stop shop, from bouquets to table napkins. I didn't have to do anything. The day of, I was drinking mimosas with my bridesmaids." "Booking at the Muhammad Ali Center, which held our wedding and reception, saved on travel costs for limo rental or shutles for guests and out-of-towners. It also allowed guests to have a free tour of the museum as somewhat like a cocktail hour in between the ceremony and reception."
