LOCAL WEDDINGS Mulligan-LeMaster Jillian Mulligan and Timothy Shawn LeMaster June 1, 2013 Jillian remembers atending the Star Wars-themed Halloween party of her best friend's cooler older brother, Timothy, when she was 18. "He was always so funny," she says. Years later, the two reunited at Forecastle Festival when it was held at the Belvedere (where he later proposed). "When we moved in together, we were going through old pictures. The last one at the botom of the box was him and me at the Halloween party," Jillian says. "For the day of the wedding, we had the option to set up inside in case it rained. It came down to the wire, but it fnally cleared up and we had it outside." "It was a family afair. My older brother married us. He got ordained. He was so sweet and so nervous. My son was the ring bearer. I felt blessed beyond belief — just saying 'I do' with all of our family there." "I had a family brooch bouquet that was really neat." "Rebecca's was the frst place I went. The frst dress I saw, I was like, 'This is it.'" "A co-worker makes cakes on the side. She was able to do the rufes that I wanted." "Within fve minutes, we knew Gingerwoods was the place. We didn't want a super country feel; it was just right." "Some DJs I looked at were cheesy. I like to dance, but I didn't want somebody telling me to pop, lock and drop it. He let us pick our songs." "Hydrangeas, Queen Anne's laces, roses. Simple but beautiful. Broadway Florist made wooden boxes to put on tables, and that gave it a rustic feel." Spring | Summer BRIDE 21
