Sydney is a student at Parsons School of Fashion. How they met: At the University of Louisville. Engagement story: "Jamie proposed the night I graduated from U of L. He walked me to the balcony of my parents' condo. We talked for a while; then he led me toward the edge of the balcony that overlooks the condo pool. Once I looked over I saw "Will you marry me?" written out with candles. When I turned to look at him he was on his knee!" SYDNEY SHURN & JAMIE GOLDSMITH I loved my wedding gown, but it was so big and long. It was nice to change into something shorter." Wish they would have: "I wish I would have lived in the little moments. I think as a bride we worry about all that can go wrong, instead of just being in the moment." Advice: "At the end of the day things aren't going to go as you originally planned, and that's OK. Just flow with it! I know it's hard and I struggled with it. But things are going to happen that are out of your control. As long as you get to marry your best friend and soul mate, nothing else matters." Number of wedding guests: 500- plus. Ceremony: St. John United Church of Christ. Reception: e Van Gogh room at Mellwood Art Center. Wedding theme: Rustic glamour. Entertainment: DJ Empty Beats. Personal touches: "I had a dance choreographed by Safiyyah Rasool at Safiyyah Dance studio." e day in three words: "Unforgettable, blissful, blessed." Favorite part of the day: "Of course saying 'I do,' but also the reception and performing for Jamie." Really glad they: "I'm glad I had a second dress to wear at the reception!
