How they met: "We actually 'met' on Facebook!" says Sameera. "We were both born and raised in the same city, but never knew one another. I was a freshman at Northern Kentucky University and Gerry was a sophomore at Eastern Kentucky University." Engagement story: "Gerry had convinced me that he wanted to go to 21C to see one of his favorite artist's exhibits. I was happy to go, but was also being very particular about the time because one of my favorite TV shows was coming on that night. When we got there, a friend of his worked in the lobby so he was trying to distract me while Gerry got our family and friends gathered together. I turned around and saw his younger sister and was confused. Then behind her came all of my family, his family, and all our close friends. I immediately started crying because I knew what was going on. Gerry got on his knee and asked me to marry him." Number of wedding guests: 230. Ceremony: Redeemer Lutheran Church. Reception: Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center. Wedding theme: Romantic. Entertainment: DJ Out Here. Personal touches: Sameera's father is from Iran, so they served Persian food. One disagreement: "Our idea of what costs too much." Wish you would have: "Taken more time to plan the wedding more thoroughly."
