How they met: At a Lake Street Dive concert in Pittsburgh's South Side neighborhood. "He always jokes that he was a half a beer away from staying at home, but thankful we both made it to the show," Kristen says. Engagement story: Adam had recently taken a job in the heart of Amish country and Kristen was fnishing her master's degree four hours away in Pittsburgh. They had decided to spend the weekend away from each other, but Adam surprised her at home. Ceremony and reception: Gingerwoods. Wedding guests: 130. Welcome party: A backyard party at Kristen's childhood home in Prospect. The out-of-town guests came over for dinner, dancing and a bourbon tasting. Coordinator: Kristen's childhood friend, Meredith Heard, is a wedding coordinator at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. Decor: Jaclyn Journey made foral arrangements, and potted plants and herbs for the tables. "Our guests were able to take home a living piece of our wedding. We love it when our friends and family send us photos of how big their plants have grown over the year." Kristen's mom planted her favorite fowers in old dresser drawers and placed them all around the venue. Antique brass table numbers from BHLDN. Personal touches: Cuddle Bugs Embroidery made vinyl signs, wedding guest book quilt, monogrammed bathrobes that all the ladies wore on the wedding day and created the ring bear pillow, aisle entrance sash and garter from Kristen's grandmother's wedding dress. Entertainment: Hickory Vaught & Friends (bluegrass band during ceremony and cocktail hour); HAY DJ (reception). First dance song: "Lovin' in My Baby's Eyes" by Taj Mahal. The day in three words: Full moon, earthy, gratitude. Favorite part of the day: Kristen says, "Walking down the aisle to 'My Old Kentucky Home.' I locked arms with my mom and dad, the horses in the pasture were running across the hill and Adam was waiting for me with the biggest smile." Adam says, "Dancing under the full moon with my wife watching the Fourth of July freworks of in the distance." Wish you would have: "Planned for more hours on the dance foor!" Advice: "Throughout the wedding day, take time to look around at all your favorite people gathered to celebrate you and your spouse — simply blissful!" Honeymoon: A cabin on Torch Lake in northern Michigan.
